Went on a hike to Rainier this weekend. First time up there. Probably walked 5 or 6 miles through rock and snow (in the middle of summer). Great day and beautiful place – it’s truly a breathtaking mountain and a very different scale to when we flew around one morning last year. Here’s a couple of shots – taken with a new Olympus 12mm f2 lens on my Panasonic G3. Am really enjoying shooting with the Micro Four Thirds system lately. It’s so portable and the latest cameras and lenses …

A couple more shots… My fairly random phase of just capturing what comes natural continues. Really enjoying this somewhat meandering right. Will get serious again soon (starting with a trip next month most likely) but in the meantime, having fun experimenting. BTW, my trial of Lightroom ran out and picked it up for $149 on new egg. V good price for some awesome software.

Nothing major to report – just continuing to shoot average but fun photography :). Here’s a couple from our regular walk around greenlake. This location is a great walk with the dogs although it never offers anything particularly exciting. Here were a couple that i managed to do something with.

Got up at 5am to go shoot a bit before work with a friend. These two images took some heavy editing to get to this point (p.s. I love lightroom!). I like the first though.

Earlier this month we swung by the Fremont Zombie Gathering. There was an attempt on the world record for the world’s largest gathering of zombies. A fun crowd – took a few pictures. This is my first time editing properly with Lightroom – takes a little getting used to and i probably overcooked a couple below – but holds a lot of promise. I can easily see myself laying down the license fee and this becoming my main editing tool… All shots below with the Panasonic G3 and Voigtlander 25mm …
