Mount Rainier Hike

My other shots – this time with people knocking about on the mountain. Shots with the new Oly 12mm f2.

Maybe my favourite shot from the day and a candidate for my Horizons series

World’s highest snowball fight (well not exactly but pretty high)

Rainier Hike

Went on a hike to Rainier this weekend. First time up there. Probably walked 5 or 6 miles through rock and snow (in the middle of summer). Great day and beautiful place – it’s truly a breathtaking mountain and a very different scale to when we flew around one morning last year. It’s so portable and the latest cameras and lenses …

Ghost Town

The other shots from the ghost town in Montana we visited on the drive back last year. Would love to have done a real shoot at this place. Images taken with a Pentax 67ii + 105mm f/2.4 lens. Gotta love those B&W tones. Lab processed.

Change of pace

A change of pace. Some film shots off my Pentax 67ii that I shot last year and only just got around to developing. These were two images from a ghost town in Montana. No processing (other than some levels correction) – the tilt shift is in camera. Shot with a Pentax 67ii + 105mm f2.4 lens. Lab developed.

The Hills

Rolling hills of green, yellow and brown are trademark views in the Palouse. We spent several hours driving through scenery like this – definitely worth a trip back in other seasons too.
Single image:

And a triptych:

Up

In the 3 hours or so at the top of Steptoe Butte, I got a bunch of keepers. Will post favourites over the next few days. This was fortunate – a couple of folks showed up to do this:
