I’m alive

20 June 2010 No Comment

Hi Everyone… sorry i’ve been dead quiet on my side for so long. About 6 weeks ago work suddenly exploded here in Seattle and I’m *just* starting to get my head above water. When work comes in hard like that, I tend to go one of two ways with photography – either I do it even more as an outlet, or I don’t even look at a camera for weeks. This experience has been somewhat in between as I was planning on doing nothing but ended up doing a fair bit of my dog charity work. I think i mentioned this before but basically i do two things here – photos of dogs who are with foster parents and need rehoming (the photos really increase their chances of adoption), or professional shoots where I donate the proceeds to a local charity. Both are great and its been a while since I’ve posted anything so I’ll dig out a small collection and put them here.

While I was away, it was great to see my community site Lost in Focus doing so well with some amazing work getting posted. It’s so motivating and inspriing to know that while I’m running back and forth trying to get stuff done for work, amazing art continues to be produced. It was actually Kaden’s mid-year check in post that made me realise I need to start posting here again quickly. I loved reading the comments on that (and will reply shortly).

So I have a few pics to share – mostly of mutts – and I’ll start with the final images of my mini weekend away in April. These were the final four images from that Oregon trip.

The first two are of Rio (my rottweiler). The second two are of Sora (my blind lab), “looking” out to see. All shots with Pentax 67ii.
