A few hours in San Gimignano

30 October 2007 3 Comments

I spent last weekend in Italy on a business trip. Saturday was work but Sunday was free and got a few hours to walk around San Gimignano, a small town about 45 minutes outside Florence. There was no time for serious photography but to be honest, I was happy just to be there relaxing, drinking coffee and taking in mild European weather that I’ve not experienced in nearly twelve months. However, I did snap off of a few shots though and have included them below.

Great images. Especially love the one with the jumping person in the passage (yourself?). San Gimignano certainly is one of the most impressive cities in Tuscany (and there are quite a number of impressive places in the region).

Hi Eckhart, agree – it's a truly beautiful place. The kind of town that makes it hard to remember why we all migrate towards large cities. That's not me jumping btw – it's a friend of mine, Jericho, lending a helping hand (who incidentally is a well known star in the Philippines).

For just being non- "serious photography" this grouping is of excellent quality and appeal. I especially like the dog in dof (thus it shall be named :P). This reminds me, which lens did you use for the majority of these? Do you change them up much? And, oh by the way, I've rented the 24-70mm f2.8 for the next two weeks to see how I like it. I think that's one of the ones you have. At any rate, are you done traveling yet? lol
